About This Spot

Stepping into La Tasquita feels like being gently invited into a treasured neighborhood nook where time slows down and genuine warmth lingers in the air. Nestled just off the bustling boulevard beneath the shade of banana trees, the space blends the casual comfort of a local eatery with an openness that welcomes both familiar faces and first-time visitors alike. The mood here is unhurried and easygoing – a place to relax, savor, and soak in the quiet hum of seaside life just beyond the terrace.

The atmosphere is enlivened by the ebb and flow of friendly conversations, the occasional pass of the kitchen staff checking in with sincere care, and the soft backdrop of waves and rustling leaves. It’s the kind of spot where the staff’s enthusiasm emanates naturally, their informal gestures creating a subtle yet inviting thread between the kitchen and the table. Here, meals are more than just plates of food; they unfold as shared moments, simple yet unmistakably heartfelt.

La Tasquita’s offerings mirror the rhythms of the island itself—honest, flavorful, and rooted in tradition without feeling rigid. The menu doesn’t overwhelm but embraces the familiar with a gentle variety, where each dish carries a quiet confidence in its quality and generous portions that echo a spirit of abundance. From tapas that invite sharing to comforting options that suit every taste, the food pairs effortlessly with the view of the ocean skyline peeking just beyond the green fronds.

Whether you find yourself lingering over a relaxed afternoon bite or settling in to watch the sunset cast a golden glow across the terrace, La Tasquita holds a delicate balance. It’s a space where the lively ocean vistas blend with the cozy cadence of island hospitality—a place to feel grounded in the moment, nourished by both the simple pleasures of good food and the understated joy of genuine connection.

The menu offerde a lot of choice with english translation (tapas, risotto, hamburgers, etc). The food was delicious and even the kids finished their plates. The welkome was very warm and friendly and even the cook passed by to ask if everything was fine. Great food and not expensive at all.

Hidden away under the boulevard is this charming restaurant. View of the ocean just over the banana trees. Food is typical fare for la Palma but done well. Service is informal, friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy their work. I look forward to returning!

Very good food and excellent service. The portions are big and the quality is surprisingly good with a lot of local food. You have a nice view to the trees and the sea and the workers are very friendly. My friends and I came here to eat 4 times in a week and I will be back next time for sure!

Amazing views!! Perfect for the sunset. This is a really pleasant, relaxed tapas bar with a friendly owner. The menu is very varied and the food was generous, tasty, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

I cannot agree with some of the negative reviews about La Tasquita. My partner and I have just eaten here and our experience was really positive. We were shown to a table straight away. Our questions about the menu were answered pleasantly. The food was beautifully served with leaf decoration and was really delicious. I have given four stars for service only on the basis that, as the restaurant was very busy, two servers would have been helpful. The poor guy was run off his feet trying to take orders and deliver the food and drinks to everybody. Well recommend as a place to watch a glorious sunset whilst eating. Also great value for money and a great experience, we will definitely return.
